▲「比較性」的句型（二）
The weather in winter is cooler than that in summer. （形容詞 + than）
冬天的天氣比夏天更涼爽。
★ 注意！當 as ... as 前面加上 not，成了否定句型，就表示前者比後者「差」。
例如：good → better；bad → worse
比較級常有以下的困惑，我們看下面的例子：
→ Jane 若當主詞
= I gave Mary more than Jane gave Mary.
我給瑪莉比珍給瑪莉還要多。
→ Jane 若當受詞
= I gave Mary more than I gave Jane.
我給瑪莉比我給珍還要多。
如何避免混淆呢？通常這樣的情況我們只要在 Jane 後面加上一個字，Jane 就是「主詞」：I gave Mary more than Jane did.
另外，比較級的句型，所比較的兩個東西「必須對等」，我們看下面的例子：
☒ My legs are longer than she.
「我的腿」不應該拿來跟「她的人」相比，所以應該改正為：
☑ My legs are longer than hers.
還有一個「比較級」的慣用語，就是「越來越……」，也可以用來增加寫文章時句型的變化：
- -er and -er
- more and more
The weather in December is getting colder and colder.
十二月的天氣逐漸變得越來越冷。
He walks more and more slowly because he is tired.
他走得越來越慢了，因為他累了。
