【文法相對論第一回】used to 怎麼用？
＜傳統（參考書）教法＞列出公式：
‧used to (過去規律地習慣於/過去某種狀態) + to + Vr. (原形動詞)
‧be used to + V-ing
＜柯南偵探法＞ 你是柯南，著重於理性思考分析，將文字本身當作屍體，屍體 (文字) 本身會透漏蛛絲馬跡。
※ used (過去式) + to + Vr (兩個動詞之間使用 to 當連接點)
Ex. He used to jog in the morning. 他過去習慣於早晨慢跑。
※ be (become, get) used to + V-ing
下列有兩種方式可以不死記，以文字本身做基礎，快速秒殺。

A. 左右觀察法: be (左邊) + V-ing (右邊；V-ing表示習慣一直進行下去)； Ex. He is used to jogging in the morning.
B. 禮尚往來： 以 used to 為基礎，前面送禮 (be/become/get)， Ex. He is used to jogging in the morning. |
◆ 例題─────────────────────────────
1. People say that tomatoes were poisonous.
(C) used to (D) is used to
(C) are used to play (D) are used to playing
People used to say that tomatoes were poisonous.
[1-1] 因為 were 是過去式 be 動詞，所以時間鎖定在「過去」。
2. (D) 男孩子傾向於在外面成群結隊地遊玩，而女孩子則習慣在室內與朋友玩。
Boys tend to play outside in large groups, while girls are used to playing indoor with friends.
[2-1] 因為 tend 是現在式，所以時間鎖定「現在」。
[2-2] are used to playing（左右觀察法／禮尚往來）
