Whether you are communicating with consumers in writing or on the phone, a professional 1 friendly demeanor is essential to closing the sale. Please keep the following guidelines in mind.
[1] Respond promptly to any request for information, the same day if possible and never later than 24 hours.
[2] Avoid 2 communication. Keep calls to under 5 minutes, and correspondence to one page.
[3] To prevent embarrassing mistakes, ask a colleague to proofread a draft of important documents before sending them out.
[4] If a customer is calling long-distance, do not 3 them on hold or connect them to the voice mail system.
[5] If you cannot respond to a customers phone inquiry, take a message, find the answer, and provide them with a response the same day.
