live vs. stay

如果住的時間比較短（幾個月以內），

我們會用 "stay at" 或 "stay in"。 

我相信很多人已經知道這點。

問題在於「快！快！」那個部分。

嘴巴忙著講英文，

習慣用中文腦翻譯，根本轉不過來……

結果就產生了下列幾種不正確的句子：

1. You can live in a hotel tonight.

2. This is the hotel that we lived in.

3. You lived in this hotel?

4. Did you live at the resort?

5. I lived in the Four Season’s resort.

6. I have lived at that hotel.

7. You can live at this hotel on your first night.

8. Did you live in a hotel?

以上都是我在上課做 role play 或跟學生們閒聊時候聽到的，應該算是常見的錯誤吧！除非你發財了決定搬到大飯店定居，每個句子裡面的 "live in" 或 "live at" 通通要改成 "stay at" 才是正確的。  

1. You can stay at a hotel tonight.

2. This is the hotel that we stayed at.

3. You stayed at this hotel?

4. Did you stay at the resort?

5. I stayed at the Four Season’s resort.

6. I have stayed at that hotel.

7. You can stay at this hotel on your first night.
