介系詞 or 連接詞?

1_從空格後至逗號為止是動名詞片語，而能將之與逗號後之子句做連結的是介系詞。四選項中的 (B) Since 與 (D) From 都是介系詞，而可形成通順文意的是 (B) Since（自從∼），故為本題正解。另，連接詞 (A) When 雖有省略後方〈主詞＋ be 動詞〉並直接接分詞的用法，但在此時態不符，因此不可選。至於 (C) Already（已經）則為不具連接功能的副詞。

2_接在空格後的 recent changes 被過去分詞片語 made to the schedule 所修飾並形成名詞片語，因此空格內應填入介系詞。四選項中屬介系詞者包括 (C) In light of 與 (D) Except for，而符合文意的是 (C)「有鑑於∼」。(D)「除了∼以外」在此意思不通。另，(A) Because 和 (B) As far as 則皆為連接詞。

3_本題四選項中可結合空格前之連接詞 unless 和後方過去分詞並形成「除非另有∼」之意的唯有副詞 (A) otherwise（以其他方式）。（注意，unless otherwise instructed 是 unless they are otherwise instructed 的省略形式。）而副詞選項 (B) furthermore 與 (C) however，以及連接詞 (D) if 都不能直接接在 unless 之後，故皆非正解。
