四個答案選項當中，有一兩個必定有「明顯錯誤」之處，只要看到可立即判斷不選。以氣象報告類的題目為例，若獨白唸的明明是 “partly cloudy”，選項中出現 “sunny” 的話就是明顯錯誤。因此，聽出足以影響判斷的「關鍵字詞」比試圖聽懂整段獨白更重要！

Clear and warm conditions are expected to continue over the next two days. However, a cold front is on the way. On Sunday, temperatures are expected to dip throughout the country, with a low of five degrees in the capital. The front will also bring wet weather, so carry your umbrellas. Thunderstorms are predicted for the eastern and western parts of the country, and snow is forecast in mountain areas with an elevation over 3,000 meters. That’s good news for Everton, with the ski season about to start. After four days of showers, the skies should clear again, and average temperatures are expected to rise slightly.
